What is unRAID Server?
UnRAID Server is a network Attached Storage server operating system designed to boot from a USB Flash device and specifically designed for digital media storage. Unlike other RAID system, unRAID supports true incremental storage expansion. You can add capacity by adding more hard drives or by upgrading existing hard drives. This is a great way to storage uncompressed HD files such as Blu-ray movies with large file size.
Since most commercial Blu-ray disc movies have digital copy protection, we can not directly copy them to unRAID Server. A Blu-ray ripper application is very essential for us to remove the digital copy protection before we make a successful Blu-ray to unRAID backup. How to backup Blu-ray to unRAID Server for Playing on Tablet?
Step 1：Load Blu-ray disc with the program.
Insert the Blu-ray disc into the Blu-ray optical drive, then launch the application, click "File" menu, from its drop-down option, select "Load from disc" option to load Blu-ray disc from optical drive.
Step 2: Choose output file format.
Choose the output format according to your own needs, if you would like to play Blu-ray saved on unRAID Server on your tablet, you can choose to output "Multi-track Video" > "Multi-track MP4 (*.mp4)" format.
Step 3: Adjust multi-task settings.
Click the "Settings" button to adjust multi-task settings. On the "Multi-task Settings" interface, you're allowed to check your desired audio/subtitle track, and uncheck audio/subtitle tracks that you don't want.
Step 4: Start Blu-ray to unRAID Server backup process.
Go back to the main interface, tap right-bottom "Convert" button to carry out the movie backup process.
When the conversion is done, you can use Plex Media Server on UnRAID Server to stream Blu-ray movies to your tablet.
