Step 1. Connect to home theater system
Method 1. Connect to Home Theater (High Definition) with HDMI
1. Plug an HDMI cable into the HDMI connector on the media player.
2. Plug the opposite end into the HDMI In port on your A/V receiver.
3. Plug an HDMI cable into the HDMI Out port on your A/V receiver.
4. Plug the opposite end into the HDMI port on your TV (if available).
5. Select the appropriate TV input source.
Method 2. Connect to Home Theater with S/PDIF
1. Plug an S/PDIF cable into the S/PDIF connector on the media player.
2. Plug the opposite end into the S/PDIF In port on your A/V receiver.
3. Plug HDMI or composite connectors to the appropriate out ports on the media player.
4. Plug the opposite end(s) into the appropriate port(s) on your TV.
5. Select the appropriate TV input source.
6. Set the appropriate audio output option on the media player.
Step 2. Visit media content in a USB drive
Connect the USB device to either of the media player’s USB ports.
Wait for a few moments while the media player scans the USB device for media files.
Navigate to the Home screen, and select the Files menu to access and play files on the USB device.
Step 3. Connect to home network
WD TV media player can be connected to your home network to access the Internet and network storage by using a wired or wireless network connection. A network connection provides access to locally stored and online media content. You’re allowed to access the media content from the network or access online media content.
After connecting the WD TV media player to your home theater system, play and enjoy digital content stored in a USB external hard drive or through the network.
