Newly installed Davinci Resolve on my Mac, but it can not import the P2 MXF file from P2 MXF folder which copied from my Pansonic P2 camera and saved on Mac hard drive. I have tried many different methods searched on the web, none of them can be worked. What type of video files can not be imported in Davinci Resolve and what the problem ah? The problem is caused by the codec incompatible issues or should I install a plug-in? Is there a detail step by step tutorial to make my P2 MXF recognized by Davinci Resolve? Thanks!

Brief method you may try
So you see the problem - The Panasonic P2 footage, which is saved in .mxf container, is not listed as a supported media. Well, it's not a blanket statement. I have tried the method below, somehow, in my windows version Davinci Reslove, it works, you may try it on.
Connect the Panasonic P2 with your computer via USB directly, adjust the camera as output mode so that the computer display the Panasonic P2 as a removable disk. Open "My Computer", find the removable disk -- actually that is Panasonic P2, contain the P2 MXF files , double click, it will show all your video files, then select your video files, right-click on the "Add to Library and upload" button.
For you, although Davinci Resolve is installed on your Mac, if you connect the Panasonic P2 with your Mac via USB directly, the P2 MXF files could be select in the folder and add to Davinci Resolve Media Pool.
