There are a lot of mail types around us such as Gmail, hotmail, etc. As a communication means, mail connects people in every corner of the world. Unlike messages and phone calls, mails don’t cost you anything. But mails mean a lot. You can send and receive different kinds of files through a mail account. Mails are indispensable in our life.
If you got an AOL account, you can check mails on PC conveniently. But the question is how to check your AOL mails on the go on a portable device such as a new Samsung Galaxy S5?
Set up AOL mail on your Galaxy S5 as follows:
Part I. AOL Email Account Automatic Setup (IMAP)
Step 1. Run app “Email” on your Galaxy S5.
Step 2. On the screen “Email accounts”, fill in the user name and password of your AOL account, and hit “Next.”
Step 3. The Email app on your Galaxy S5 will configure the incoming and outgoing settings in an automatic way.
Step 4. Account options
On the screen “Account options”, adjust information such as “Period to sync Email”, “Sync schedule”, and “Peak schedule”, and then tap “Next.”
Step 5. Create a name for AOL account
On the “Set up email” screen, you can give your AOL account a name but it is optional. Hit “Done” and your account is set up and is ready to send and receive emails.
Part II. AOL Email Account Manual Setup (POP3)
Step 1. Launch app “Email” on your Galaxy S5
Step 2. On the interface of “Email accounts”, enter the user name and password of your AOL account in the blanks. And then hit the “Manual setup.”
Step 3. Then you will go to the interface “Add email account” where you need to choose “POP3 account.”
Step 4. Incoming settings
Fill the required information on the screen of “Incoming settings interface”, and then tap “Done.”
Step 5. Outgoing server settings
Enter the required information in the screen of “Outgoing server settings”, and tap “Next” at bottom-right corner of your Galaxy S5.
Step 6. Account options
On the screen “Account options”, adjust information such as “Period to sync Email”, “Sync schedule”, and “Peak schedule”, and then tap “Next.”
Step 7. Create a name for AOL account
On the “Set up email” screen, you can give your AOL account a name but it is optional. Hit “Done” and your account is set up and is ready to send and receive emails.
After finishing AOL Email setup on your Galaxy S5, you can send and receive emails at anytime and wherever you go.
